We make these in our workshop in Herefordshire from construction grade green oak timber which means they are solid, hard and heavy for their size. However, with the addition of a lovely rope handle they are easy to carry and move to wherever they are needed.
As you can imagine, a lot of work goes into making these products as there are many steps along the way to produce these unique gifts. Also, because they are made from green (new) oak, they will continue to age by getting characteristic splits as they harden over the years.
As standard we engrave the same message on opposite sides for you.
We give you the choice of whether you would like the item finished with Danish oil or left untreated for a totally natural finish. Oiling the wood deepens the natural grain colours.
We will be adding to our wood and oak range over the coming weeks, but we are really excited by this new range and we love making them too.
This particular oak door stop measures approx 230mm high (not counting the rope handle) x 134mm wide and 114mm deep.
