Now some companies, laser engrave these blocks, but we prefer to use a better technique of sandblasting. We laser engrave lots of items, but when it comes to glass, metal or crystal, sandblasting gives are far more superior finish (in our humble opinion) - this is because laser etching can cause bubbling of the glass and gives a rougher finish to the engraving. Sandblasting, whist a longer process and more complex from our point of view, gives a very smart neat finish to the edges.

We have secured a great supply of 1litre 'bubble' decanters that look and feel lovely. They come with a wooden cork stopper so the the contents are much more protected from the atmosphere than a glass equivalent.
